But what do you DO all day?

While I was still working, this is the question I always asked retired family members and close friends. Obviously, with a 40 hour work week, I had to cram every chore, errand, and socializing entry on my calendar into my two days off. But to people I knew well enough to ask this bold question, they all gave the same answer: "Anything I want."
I couldn't accept this as a fair answer. I really wanted to know because they had 24 hours of every single day to do what? What is left t o do after you clean the house, do laundry, and watch your TV shows? Do you get bored? Do you feel housebound? Are you lonely? Do your office friends drop you? Do you lose contact (or should I say, do THEY lose contact with you? Do they delete your contact info from their phone? Do your former colleagues assume, once you're out of the office that you no longer have anything else in common?
Well, here I am, fairly new to retirement and I swear I was born to retire. I'm amazed at how much I released from my brain, all the office technologyj, the meetings I didn't feeel were productive as far as MY job job at my desk, and it was a near full data dump.
